Dear Parents/Carers

Parent Consultation for Relationship Education from September 2020

As you may be aware, Relationship Education becomes statutory for all primary schools from September 2020. Here at St Paul’s we have decided to adopt a Relationship Education programme for Catholic primary schools, titled Life to the Full. This has been approved by the Diocese of Westminster and is also used by many other local Catholic primary schools.

The Life to the Full programme is based on ‘A Model Catholic RSE Curriculum’ by the Catholic Education Service, which was highlighted as a work of good practice by the Department of Education. Therefore, we have confidence that the programme will be fit for purpose in supporting the growth and development of your child.

As part of the consultation process before approving our Relationship Education policy, we are asking parents, staff, children and Governors for their feedback so we can ensure that the policy and programme meets the needs of all children at St Paul’s Catholic School.

Under normal circumstances, we would have held a parents information evening. However, we are currently unable to do that. Instead, we have a section on our website with an introductory video, a parent presentation, a copy of our proposed policy and further resources as part of the consultation process.

We ask that all parents look at this and then share their comments/ feedback via our parent questionnaire, which can be found here.

Virtual Parent Information Session - March 2022

From the Summer Term 2022 we will be starting out weekly Relationship Education lessons with the children in each year group. Please watch the below videos to find out more information. If you would like to withdraw your child from the optional content please let Mrs Worton-Geer know via letter by 22nd March 2022.
